getting started

amal blocks the apps you choose during prayer windows and gently asks: have you prayed yet? to enable blocking, amal needs Screen Time permission — you’ll be asked during onboarding, or grant it later in settings → app blocking.

common questions

why isn’t blocking working? check that Screen Time permission is granted (iPhone settings → screen time), that you’ve selected apps to block in amal’s settings → app blocking, and that your subscription or trial is active.

why can I still hear music in my car? blocked apps are shielded on your phone’s screen, but audio already playing through CarPlay may continue. this is how Apple’s Screen Time works — amal blocks the phone, not the drive.

how do I cancel my subscription? subscriptions are managed by Apple: iPhone settings → your name → subscriptions → amal. deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

how do I restore a purchase on a new device? open amal’s paywall and tap restore purchases while signed into the same Apple ID.

is my prayer data private? yes — your prayer log never leaves your device. read the full privacy policy.
